Peregrine, our own 3D engine, draws all four. Compass and Track are the same scene flattened and pointed straight down. Premium unlocks Tilt and Cityscape.

Scales every control and label. The map itself is unaffected. 1 = the compact density of the older in-car browser · 10 = full size, sized for reach at the wheel. Applies when you let go of the slider.

Sound

Guidance sound

Voice = spoken turns (falls back to chime if this browser can't speak). Off by default while navigation is in alpha, and instructions can be wrong.

Alert sounds

The master mute for warning sounds: police, cameras and anything else you set to Alert below. Independent of guidance sound.

Alerts

Alerts by type

Per road event: hide it, leave it on the map, get a notification when one is ahead, or get the full alert, spoken ("Police reported, 200 metres."). Police and cameras alert by default and can add a full-screen flash with the siren cue; the things you brake for notify; traffic jams stay hidden until you ask for them, since the coloured flow lines already show the queue.

Chargers

Tesla Superchargers, destination charging and every other network your car can use, plus market, connector, cost and power. Turn the whole layer off in the same place.

Airplanes

Live aircraft overhead. Tap a plane for its flight, altitude and route

Language

Language for this browser, including voice guidance. Distance units stay as selected.

Theme

Auto follows the Tesla theme

Units

Metric = km/h, m/km. Imperial = mph, ft/mi. First run picks this from the car's region; your choice here sticks.

Bugs, wrong pins, ideas. Your car model, settings and a picture of the map are attached automatically, and you see all of it before it sends.

Advanced

Report button

Some cars paint their own badge (a passenger-airbag warning, for one) over the bottom-right corner, on top of Report. Raised lifts the button clear of it.

Unconfirmed reports

Driver reports are shown the moment they are posted, before anyone else has backed them up. Hide them if you would rather wait for a second opinion

Show FPS

Frames actually drawn per second, bottom left. Counts painted frames rather than browser ticks, so a stalled map reads as a stalled number instead of your screen’s refresh rate.
